NETL
The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) is a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) national laboratory that produces technological solutions for America’s energy challenges and is the only national lab dedicated to fossil energy research and development. For more than 100 years, the laboratory has developed technologies to provide clean, reliable, and affordable energy to the American people.
NETL’s mission is to discover, integrate, and mature technology solutions to enhance the nation’s energy foundation and protect the environment for future generations.
NETL has sites in Albany, Oregon; Anchorage, Alaska; Morgantown, West Virginia; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Houston, Texas. In total, these sites include more than 110 buildings on greater than 230 acres. As the only one of the Energy Department’s 17 national labs that is both government-owned and -operated, NETL is in a unique position to accelerate the development of technology solutions through strategic partnerships with academia, industry, and other research organizations.
Applying the experience and expertise of our corporate parents, we have established a NETL SOS-performing organization that is self-sufficient, autonomous, and seamless.
Our team returns to NETL the top-performing personnel and systems from SOS-3 and introduces process optimizations and technical innovations to ensure continued safe, compliant, responsive, and high-quality services to SOS-4.
